SHEER TERROR Debut 2 Brand New Songs On BNB Takeover Radio Show [Tue 4/22, 8pmET, EVR.com]

2014.04.22_SheerTerror

Having  just completed the first new Sheer Terror full-length record in nearly 20 years, entitled Standing Up For Falling Down (Reaper Records), the BNB Takeover are pleased and honored to give the world a sneak peek listen of what’s to be released this summer on the upcoming Tue, 4/22 episode. With 11 new songs for the full-length and the 2-song EP Spite from 2011 still fresh under their belts, it’s safe to say that the future for Sheer Terror, with their unparalleled and pre-existing legacy, has them proudly still waving the “here to stay” flag.

Take it from Sheer Terror frontman, Paul Bearer himself;

“I am so fucking proud of my band. Whether anyone else likes this record (and, you’d be a friggin’ cloth-eared toad, if you don’t), I can guarantee you this… there was never a fucking NYHC punk record that ever sounded like this — EVER! Hard as fucking nails. Fuck you and your fantasy as to what you think NYHC is. You have no fucking clue!!! Yeah, I’m that fucking sure.”

Be sure to listen in Tue, 4/22 from 8pmET to 10pmET exclusively on EVR.com to hear the worldwide exclusive debut of “Ain’t Alright” and “Did You Just Meet Me?”.

MADBALL Announces New Album “Hardcore Lives”

MBL_Hardcore_Lives_Cover_Front

New York City hardcore veterans Madball have set Hardcore Lives as the title of their forthcoming album. The LP was engineered by Ken Susi (Unearth) and mixed/mastered by Zeuss (Agnostic Front, Hatebreed, Terror). It also features guest appearances from Scott Vogel (Terror), Toby Morse (H20) and Candace Puopolo (Walls Of Jericho).

With a musical legacy dating back over 25 years, frontman Freddy Cricien had the following to say about Hardcore Lives. “I shouted ‘Hardcore Lives’ on Madball’s first release, Ball Of Destruction, – I was twelve then. It wasn’t pre-planned or written down… it was an ad-lib that I just threw out there and we kept it! Back then there was no choice really, not the way we were recording – two track live at Don Fury‘s… NYHC style! I feel the sentiment behind the expression still holds true today, maybe even more so. That said, Hardcore Lives at least to us, is not just about a cool ‘catchphrase’ – it’s about that rebellious spirit that doesn’t give in… in life, music, whatever. It’s about growing, evolving and maintaining your integrity in the process. ”

The LP is to be released on June 27th via Cricien’s own The Black N Blue Label for the U.S. and Nuclear Blast in Europe. It will be available as a digipak and limited edition colored orange vinyl, both including two additional bonus tracks: “The Beast” which also appeared on 2012′s EP Rebellion and “Spit On Your Grave” originally from 1992′s Dropping Many Suckas EP. Both tracks have been exclusively re-recorded for this release.

BNB TAKEOVER x MICHAEL ALAGO x DREW STONE x DOUG HOLLAND x KEN WAGNER

The Punk/Hardcore community is in for a historical earful tonight on the BNB Takeover.

We are pleased to be sitting down with Director Drew Stone and Michael Alago in support of the current Kickstarter campaign for Alago’s documantary film, Who The Fuck Is That Guy? The Journey Of Michael Alago. The film will tell the uniquely American story of Michael Alago’s journey from humble roots in Brooklyn, into the netherworld of downtown New York’s music and arts scene in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Alago rose from running the Dead Boy’s fan club to becoming a live booker at the legendary Ritz nightclub and then onto a storied A&R career at Elektra Records, Geffen Records and Palm Pictures, where he signed and executive produced acts as diverse as Metallica, White Zombie, Flotsam and Jetsam, PiL, Cyndi Lauper and Nina Simone. The story covers the crazy glory days of the music business as well as how Michael survived the late 90’s industry downturn and re-invented himself successfully as a visual artist, poet and published photographer.

As if that’s not enough, we will also be sitting down with Kraut and former Cro-Mags guitarist, Doug Holland (joined by Keep Coming Back vocalist Ken Wagner), for his first interview in 20 years to discuss the roots of Kraut, the present incarnation and the future for one of New York Hardcore’s gems. With a weekend of upcoming shows in the New York / New Jersey area, with long time friends and California veterans Channel 3, listen live for details on those shows as well as some incredibly historical stories from a guy who has “been there and done that”.

An episode NOT to miss!

Listen live tonight at EVR.com, 8pmET.
