BNB TAKEOVER x MICHAEL ALAGO x DREW STONE x DOUG HOLLAND x KEN WAGNER

The Punk/Hardcore community is in for a historical earful tonight on the BNB Takeover.

We are pleased to be sitting down with Director Drew Stone and Michael Alago in support of the current Kickstarter campaign for Alago’s documantary film, Who The Fuck Is That Guy? The Journey Of Michael Alago. The film will tell the uniquely American story of Michael Alago’s journey from humble roots in Brooklyn, into the netherworld of downtown New York’s music and arts scene in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Alago rose from running the Dead Boy’s fan club to becoming a live booker at the legendary Ritz nightclub and then onto a storied A&R career at Elektra Records, Geffen Records and Palm Pictures, where he signed and executive produced acts as diverse as Metallica, White Zombie, Flotsam and Jetsam, PiL, Cyndi Lauper and Nina Simone. The story covers the crazy glory days of the music business as well as how Michael survived the late 90’s industry downturn and re-invented himself successfully as a visual artist, poet and published photographer.

As if that’s not enough, we will also be sitting down with Kraut and former Cro-Mags guitarist, Doug Holland (joined by Keep Coming Back vocalist Ken Wagner), for his first interview in 20 years to discuss the roots of Kraut, the present incarnation and the future for one of New York Hardcore’s gems. With a weekend of upcoming shows in the New York / New Jersey area, with long time friends and California veterans Channel 3, listen live for details on those shows as well as some incredibly historical stories from a guy who has “been there and done that”.

An episode NOT to miss!

Listen live tonight at EVR.com, 8pmET.
