New York Hardcore newcomers and current flag bearers, Backtrack, have debuted the title track from their upcoming Reaper debut full-length entitled, “Darker Half”. The recorded was recorded in California with Terror drummer, Nick Jett, producing it. Reaper Records will be releasing the record this fall. Keep your eyes peeled for Backtrack to hit the road shortly thereafter.
Be sure to listen live on September 20th at 8:00pm to the BNB Takeover on EVR.com as they welcome Mike Judge, the legendary frontman from one of NYHC’s best, Judge. Mike will be stopping by with Civ (Gorilla Biscuits) to discuss his past, present and future and a whole lot more. For those that don’t know, Mike has lived a very secluded (yet respectful) life from Hardcore after the demise of Judge, so this will be a very entertaining conversation you’ll want to listen in on if you’re a fan of Judge, or Mike in general.
We have rescheduled the Irene interrupted record release celebration show for Sheer Terror to Sunday, September 11th. Support will be from Supertouch and Suburban Scum with doors at 2:00pm, $12 to enter and it is an all ages event. For those of you unfamiliar with the venue … it’s small, very small … especially for a show of this magnitude. With that said, it is bound to sell out, so we highly advise people come early and wait on line to secure getting in. Once they tell us we are at capacity, we cannot allow anyone else in, so if you want to get in bad enough, you’ll have to wait on line — early. Also, being that it’s 9/11, we advise that those traveling take memorial traffic and congestion into consideration when commuting and parking. It’s bound to be messy, so just plan accordingly.
New York Hardcore legends and mainstays, Agnostic Front will be making their way through New York City on the My Life My Way Tour 2011 on November 4th with The Mongoloids and Naysayer in tow and Incendiary and Setback supporting. This show will be in the upstairs room at Santo’s Party House, $12, 6:00pm doors and it is an all ages event. Pre-sales tickets are available online through Pitchfork Hardwear.
